Membership Types
Please read the membership category descriptions below to determine which membership application you should complete.


Active Members
Active ASPN Member Application Form  
  • Hold M.D. or Ph.D. Degree
  • Have an interest in peripheral nerve and/or neural regeneration
  • Should demonstrate documented evidence of continuing research in neural regeneration.

    Rights and duties:
  • May vote.
  • May hold office.
  • May serve on committees of the Society.
  • Failure to pay dues for two (2) years shall result in termination of membership.


Associate Members
Associate ASPN Member Application Form
  • Shall consist of individuals with an interest peripheral nerve and/or neural regeneration who do not qualify for active membership.

    Rights and duties:
  • May attend scientific meetings and social functions.
  • May serve on committees.
  • Cannot vote or hold offices.
  • Failure to pay dues for two (2) years shall result in termination of membership.


Candidate Membership
Candidate Member Application Form 
  • Shall express an interest in peripheral nerve and/or neural regeneration.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a residency/PhD program that includes neural regeneration training or research or peripheral nerve.
  • Candidate membership status may be extended or granted while a candidate continues in training such as research or clinical fellowships.

    Rights and Privileges for Candidate Membership.
  • Candidate members receive reduced ASPN membership fees and reduced scientific meeting registration fees.
  • May attend scientific meetings and social functions.
  • May not serve on committees.
  • May not vote or hold office.
  • This category is valid for up to five (5) years.
